Remember to practice what you preach. When our children hear us talking negatively about ourselves, they assume that’s normal and the habit becomes deeply ingrained in them as well. It’s a case of monkey-see-monkey-do.
Do the practices at the end of the book along with your children and let them hear you talk about all the things you feel thankful and proud of. Make it a practice to fit more of this into your every day even when you aren’t reading with them.
